🏰 Baby Care Centers at Disneyland: The Most Useful Stop When Traveling with a Baby or Toddler

In my previous article about A Day at Disneyland California Adventure: A Guide for an Unhurried Day with a Baby and Toddler, I promised I would tell you everything about the Baby Care Centers. And the truth is, if you’re going to Disneyland with a baby in your arms or a toddler (in my experience, both), these places become a breath of fresh air amid the chaos of the park. I would classify them as a Hidden Gem, because on top of everything else, they’re usually pretty empty!
Changing a diaper in a public restroom, with a line behind you, juggling a diaper bag and doing everything possible to keep your little one from touching any surface, is completely avoidable if you have the option of heading to a Baby Care Center. These are enclosed, air-conditioned, clean spaces you can find in the park free of charge. Here’s how to make the most of them.
📍 Where They’re Located (and How to Find Them)
In this article I’m basing everything on my experience at the California parks. There’s one in each park, so I recommend locating it before you arrive using the map in the Disneyland app:
- At Disneyland Park: It’s located at the end of Main Street, U.S.A., just to the right before you reach the central plaza in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle (next to the First Aid restaurant and near Plaza Inn).
- As an extra reference point: it’s beside the Christmas ornament shop and across from the corn dog cart.
- At Disney California Adventure: You’ll find it in the San Fransokyo Square area, right next to the entrance of the Ghirardelli chocolate shop and just a few steps before you cross over toward Cars Land.
💡 Traveler’s tip: Save the location to your favorites in the official Disney app as soon as you enter the park.
✨ What You’ll Find Inside: Everything You Need If You Have Babies or Small Children
- 👶 Changing station:
It’s literally a station of changing tables with padded mattresses (not those plastic ones in the restrooms), you don’t have to wait in line and you don’t have to worry about your little one touching dirty surfaces. Each station has individual disposable protective paper that the staff disinfects and restocks constantly. There are sinks with soap, paper towels and diaper-only trash bins.

- 🍼 Private Nursing Room:
This is a delight, you have no idea how much I enjoyed being able to sit in a very comfortable individual armchair to nurse my baby (right in the middle of the park’s hustle and bustle!). Besides armchairs, there are rocking chairs and the atmosphere is completely calm. It’s a space exclusively for moms who are nursing their baby or pumping. You don’t have to feed your baby on a bench surrounded by people in the park if you have this option right there. - 🥣 Equipped kitchen: Microwave, high chairs, bottle warmers and water dispenser
If you prepare formula, purees or solid food for your toddler, the kitchen is wonderful:- Clean microwaves: To heat up purees or baby food.
- High chairs: Unlike the plastic chairs in the park (which are also more for toddlers than babies), these are wooden and shaped just right, and you can feed your baby here.
- Sink with hot water and soap: To wash bottles, pacifiers or spoons on the spot.
- Water dispenser station: Ideal for mixing formula instantly.
- đźš˝ Toddler-scale restrooms:
If you’re in the potty-training stage with a little one, the Baby Care Centers have miniature toilets and sinks, designed at the exact height for children ages 2 to 4. Plus, as you can imagine, they’re very clean compared to the ones in the rest of the park. - 📺 Quiet waiting area with a television:
If the whole family comes into these spaces, don’t worry, they’ll love it too. Next to the feeding areas there’s a small room with little kids’ chairs and a screen showing classic Disney movies at low volume. If one parent is changing the baby, the other can sit there and rest with the older child without them getting restless, and they’ll be grateful for a few minutes of downtime in an air-conditioned armchair. - 🛒 Vending machine with everything you need:
I always get stressed about starting to run low on diapers and not knowing if I’ll need more than I packed, or if the pacifier fell on the floor in a line and you don’t have a spare, or the formula ran out earlier than expected, or whatever else the baby needs that I forgot to put in the diaper bag.
Inside the center itself you’ll find a vending machine selling basic products from well-known brands at reasonable prices:- Diapers in different sizes and packs of wet wipes.
- Infant formula and purees.
- Bottles and pacifiers.
- Sunscreen and insect repellent.
- Even over-the-counter pediatric medications (like children’s acetaminophen or ibuprofen, after checking with the adjacent first aid station).

🎒 A Logistical Detail to Keep in Mind
Something important to consider is that strollers are not allowed inside the Baby Care Center rooms. You have to leave it outside in the Stroller Parking area.
Keeping this detail in mind, and since it’s always more convenient not to be loaded down with extra stuff at Disney, here are my diaper bag basics. Remember that if you run short, you can buy more right there:
- Carrier (I recommend this for every trip with a baby).
- I use the Ergo Baby Omni 360, I’ve used it for more than 4 years with my babies on all my trips, from Italy to Canada, and I never stop recommending it.

- Wet wipes (WaterWipes on the go).
- 4 diapers in their size.
- 1 extra change of clothes (a onesie is the most compact).
- Something for the cold like a warm sleepsuit or sweater.
- Their food (purees or a bottle of milk).
đź’¬ My Honest Conclusion: Is It Worth Going Out of Your Way to Use the Baby Care Centers?
Without a doubt. When you travel with babies or toddlers, trying to keep up with the adults’ pace is a perfect recipe for chaos.
It won’t take much time to work in a strategic stop at the Baby Care Center whenever you need it, and it also lets you change diapers in a clean place at ease, feed your baby sitting in a comfortable armchair with air conditioning, and/or give your toddler a moment of calm before continuing to explore the park.
