🍗 Chicken in Creamy Poblano Sauce
This recipe is a practical, comforting classic for getting everyday meals on the table. It’s an incredibly easy 2-step recipe: blend and cook in the same skillet. It comes out so tender and creamy, with a delicious flavor my daughter loved — even my baby ate it happily! It makes just the right amount for 2 adults and 2 kids. 🍽️✨
🛒 Ingredients
- 21 oz (600 g) chicken breast, cut into medium pieces
- 2¾ oz (80 g) frozen poblano chile strips (rajas)
- 2¾ oz (80 g) onion, cut into chunks 🧅
- 2 garlic cloves, peeled 🧄
- 7 oz (200 g) heavy whipping cream 🥛
- 3½ fl oz (100 g) milk 🥛
- 1 bouillon cube 🧂
- Salt and pepper to taste
👩🍳 Preparation
- Blend the sauce:
Place the onion, garlic cloves, frozen poblano strips, cream, milk and bouillon cube in the blender. Blend on high speed until you get a completely smooth, even sauce. - Cook in the skillet:
Pour the sauce directly into the skillet or saucepan and add the chicken breast pieces, stirring well so they’re completely covered. Cover and cook over medium-low heat for 25 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.

Adjust the seasoning to taste and serve hot. We had it with rice and corn, and it turned out spectacular.
